What The Travel Ads Won't Tell You

Travel Truths

This web site exists because truth in travel is hard to find. We think it's time that the averaqe consumer had access to the same kinds of information we've shared with our upscale clients for years. You have to have worked both sides of the aisle, supplier and seller, to know how things really work in the travel industry. We've done that. And now, we'd like to share some of our insider information with you.

The travel industry is not evil. Most of the executives we know in the business honestly want to produce the best possible "product". They are really nice people. But this is a business that relies heavily on image, an image crafted by PR firms and national tourist boards. It is an industry that thrives on dishonest advertising. Prices can be advertised that don;t exist, hovels can be described as palaces, and the trumpeters may not admit that they are trumpeting because they received a free trip in exchange for their kind words. The Internet is a fast track for liars, those who would misrepresent who they really are, and firms whose very existence is based on false promises and distortion. It's time that they be outed. Google discount cruises, as we did, and you will receive over six million hits. Can any of them truly deliver lower pricing than any other serious cruise seller? Of course not. Yet millions of your fellow internet users will hand over their credit cards to a booker they know nothing about. In this section of traveltruth.com we want to update you on airport and vacation planning strategies that really work.
